Pensacola Active DogS, or PADS is a business that provides
services for people who love dogs. Our focus is providing classes of
interest to dog owners in our area. We welcome all dogs of all sizes,
shapes, and ancestry. If you enjoy spending time with your dogs and
want to learn, you are invited to enroll in our classes. We are
affiliated with the North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC). Initially
started and owned by Sharon Aizer, PADS has now transfered ownership to Kathy
Lirette who is also doing business as Sonshine Kennels.
Formerly a
part of PADS and with the majority vote by Charter PADS/Supersonic members,
The Panhandle Supersonics Flyball team has joined Five Flags Dog Training
Club For more information regarding this local flyball team, contact
Kathy Lirette at 994-7326. For more information about flyball go

Many of you
have seen agility on tv or at the local shows. This is a sport where the
dog and owner run around a course full of jumps, tunnels, ramps, and those
crazy poles that dogs weave in and out of. Well, there are three main
types of agility. Locally there are three avenues for competing in
agility. There is AKC agility, which requires your dog to be an
AKC registered dog to enter. Then there are two kinds of agility
that welcome mixed breeds: USDAA and NADAC. NADAC is different
because there are so many kinds of games and courses in NADAC. In
addition, you do not have to have a flawless run to have some
success. For example, one NADAC game involves ONLY TUNNELS!
So, anyone can learn this game very quickly and be ready to compete.
Plus, dogs who love tunnels (like my Golden Retriever Dosi) absolutely
love to play Tunnellers. NADAC is great beginner agility, but
don't be fooled: it gets harder as you get better. Learn more
at www.nadac.com.
